#Motorola mcs2000 programming software professional#Commercial, Professional Radio and Personal Radio. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola). The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. #Motorola mcs2000 programming software software#Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate just purchase it.įor M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. #Motorola mcs2000 programming software series#Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Notice on the drawing it tells you which way the locking tab is facing. Myself & several others have had the same problem.look closely at the RJ-45 end. The drawing for the mic MCS2000 cable on the site is a little mis-leading. The other cable, with the DB-25 for the accessory connector of the radio, is only needed for FLASHporting a radio, although it certainly works for regular programming as well. I don't want to be giving out misinformation. If someone does have this in writing, either as a bulletin or maybe found it in the RSS/CPS help files or service manual, please let us know. This is not to say the possibility of a programming session going bad is not greater with a mic cable/remote mount unit configuration. I have programmed many remote mount units with the mic cable. I also cannot find any information about that in either the RSS/CPS, or the MCS2000 service manual. There was no disclaimer with the cable which said not to use it with a remote-mount radio. The mic cable can be used for regular programming of any MCS2000. There are two different factory cables for programming the MCS2000.
